Olive Oil, the “liquid gold” of Homer, sacred to Ancient Greeks, is rightfully considered a staple of the Mediterranean diet. Rather than just consuming it, Spartans used olive oil as a moisturiser and since ancient times, Hippocrates, the founder of modern medicine, treated olive oil as a great remedy for treating ailments and wounds.

Studies confirm Hippocrates’ claims, showing that extra virgin olive oil can help reduce high blood pressure, curb diabetes and alleviate inflammations, among many others. Recent studies show that olive oil helps to fight free radicals that can cause cancer, as it is loaded with cleansing antioxidants.

Following years of careful cultivation, the journey to our premium oil extraction begins in the middle of autumn, when experienced producers harvest top quality olives by hand.

They travel in jute sacks to the oil press, where they are pressed within 24 hours using the gentlest way of extraction: cold extraction. At our state-of-the-art mill we use a three phase extraction system, at low temperatures that do not exceed 27° Celsius at all times. The end result is a unique olive oil, with sophisticated aromas of the Greek countryside and elegant depth in flavour.
